About

I am a Software Development Engineer at Amazon in Berlin, building cloud-native microservices on AWS that serve millions of customers on Amazon's retail platform. I focus on event-driven architecture, high availability, and reliability engineering — and on bringing AI agents into day-to-day engineering work.

Previously, I interned at Amazon (Berlin), worked as a research student at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) on real-time systems for satellites, contributed to R&D at Software AG, and built enterprise software at NTT Data.

I hold an M.Sc. in High Integrity Systems from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and a B.E. in Information Science from PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore.

What I Do

I design and maintain backend services at scale — thinking about system design, fault tolerance, deployment automation, and observability. My day-to-day involves Java, Spring, AWS (CDK, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, CloudWatch), and infrastructure-as-code practices.

I enjoy the challenge of building systems that are both reliable and simple — where operational burden is low and the architecture can evolve without rewrites. The work I'm most proud of is often unglamorous but high-impact: root-causing recurring incidents that others had only worked around, and re-architecting fragile stream-processing pipelines into event-driven systems that simply stop paging.

I've also led my team's adoption of AI coding agents — authoring service context and reusable skills so an agent can take on real work like on-call triage and code review — and I've mentored two junior engineers.

Research

During my master's thesis at DLR, I worked on response time analysis of real-time task chains for satellite software. I developed an execution model for DAG tasks on multi-core processors with fixed-priority scheduling, improving on prior methods limited to periodic FCFS tasks. The work is published here.

  • Learning the guitar, and slowly getting better.
  • Live music is my thing — Coldplay is a favorite, and I collect vinyl records.
  • I love travelling across Europe — always up for exploring a new country.

What I'm Looking For

I'm looking for a Software Development Engineer role where my work has high customer impact — I'm most motivated when a change I ship reaches millions of users and genuinely improves their experience. I gravitate toward complex distributed systems and large-scale infrastructure, and I'm at my best debugging the hard problems others get stuck on.

I'm known as a team player — I'll happily put the team first — and I thrive where engineering rigor, clean abstractions, and continuous learning are valued.
